This past September, models, Instagrammers, influencers and other industry hopefuls flooded New York City Fashion Week and one couldn’t help but take notice of CurvyCon. This three-day convention, which is billed as “the world’s biggest celebration of plus-size women“ has now been an annual event for five years running and growing. It’s first year was a one-day event of 500 attendees, and since, this celebration of beautiful women has evolved into something more than clothes.
Along with being a space for body positivity, participants were able to take part in workout sessions, dance parties, and discussions with guest speakers. Fashion designers and vendors set up their booths to showcase their fabulous clothes and accessories for the unique woman.
We just want our community to have all the clothes they want and all the styles they want and to be able to express themselves that way
